Little Mika supports Susan G.Komen for the Cure
Little Mika is launching a contest July 1, 2008

The children's brand Little Mika is launching a special clothing line that will help raise funds for Susan G. Komen for the Cure?, Miami/Ft. Lauderdale. Starting this September, clients will be able to go to the Little Mika Web site (www.littlemika.com), as well as the Little Mika boutique, and purchase one of the items from the collection. Twenty percent of proceeds will go directly to help find a cure for breast cancer.

In an effort to create awareness, Little Mika is launching a contest July 1, 2008, where parents will be invited to help create the "slogan" for the girls and boys t-shirts. Moms can email their suggestions to? contest@littlemika.com On July 21, one winner will be chosen for the girl's slogan and one for the boy's. The prize will consist of having their child be the "face" for this campaign. They will have their photo taken with the t-shirt and be on the advertisement used to promote the Patty line. They will also be asked to participate in the Little Mika photo shoot for the Spring Season 2009. Lastly, they will each obtain a $100 gift certificate for the store, as well as the t-shirt they helped create.

"I have a very personal obligation to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. I lost both my mother and grandmother to this horrible disease and want to participate in any way I can to create awareness and raise funds," explained Sylvia Garcia, owner of Little Mika. "My business partner is my mother-in-law, Rosana Garcia, who is a 22 year breast cancer survivor. So, for both of us this is a very important effort that we hope will be a success."

Little Mika boutique opened its doors on October of last year. It specializes in children's clothing, accessories, jewelry, custom-made designs, children's bridal fashion and more
