Q: What is the cost to Register for the Race?
5K Run - Online $27.00 for Individual who is running on Race Day
Sleep In For the Cure - Online $27.00 for any registrant who is not attending Race but wants to sign up and get tee shirt.
One Mile Fun Walk - Online $27.00 for any registrant who is participating in One Mile Fun Walk
These prices are good through October 7th then becomes $32 Online Oct. 8th-14th, and $35 on Raceday.
Tot Run - Online $12.00 for special run for children ages 2-7. Starts at 9:45am. Tot run price remains the same through race day.
Note: You must register to receive a Race t-shirt. Your Registration fee helps to cover the cost of operations but personal giving and fundraising is what enables Komen to save lives here locally.
Q: Does the Komen Race for the Cure® require fundraising?
You are not required to fundraise, but we do encourage all participants to fundraise above the entry fee. Just Imagine the IMPACT - If every Race participant raises just $150.00 in addition to their registration fee, we would bring in an additional $3,000,000.00 to support local screening, treatment and educational programs in our community!
Q: Does the money raised stay right here in our community?
Yes! Up to Seventy-five percent of the net income from the Race stays right here in our community to fund vital breast cancer health education and breast cancer screening and treatment programs.
And the remaining Twenty-five percent supports the Komen for the Cure Award and Research Grants Programs, which funds groundbreaking breast cancer research.

Q: Is there a deadline for fundraising?
All donations on your behalf that are received by 11/30/2011 will be credited to your fundraising total.
Q. What are some ways I can fundraise for my team/my individual goal?

Q: Is my registration fee tax-deductible?
No, your registration fee helps defray the costs of producing the Race and is not considered tax-deductible. However, any amount that you choose to donate above the entry fee is tax-deductible.
Q: How do I form a team?
To be considered an official team, you will need 4 or more registered members by the morning of the Race. You can form a team or join a team online. For more information, contact the Race Hotline, at 305-666-RACE or info@komenmiaftl.org.
Q: How do I enter an offline gift so that it shows on my fundraising thermometer?
After you've created your personal fundraising page, click on the progress tab at the top. On the right it says "Enter a New Gift". Click on there and enter your offline gift information.
