Who are you running for? — Join in the fight against breast cancer by running a full or half marathon through Marathon for the Cure™
Rally for the Cure — Golf, tennis, dinner events and so much more...
A brand to trust — We are honored that Susan G. Komen for the Cure® ranked number one in a recent Harris Interactive poll as the most valued non-profit brand and the charity people are most likely to donate money to. Additionally, Komen for the Cure ranked second on the 2010 list of the nation’s most trusted charities. Thank you to all who help us daily in the fight to end breast cancer!
The 2011 Susan G. Komen Miami/Ft. Lauderdale Affiliate Race for the Cure® is all about TEAMS!Our Race teams can change history—the history of breast cancer—by helping the Komen Miami/Ft. Lauderdale Affiliate Race for the Cure reach record-breaking levels of Race participation and fundraising. A Race for the Cure team is a group of 10 or more participants who join together for the Race season to have fun and raise funds to empower the breast cancer movement.
Create a friendly competition within your own team! Develop "awards" when members reach a certain donation goal. For example, everyone who reaches $250 gets to wear jeans to work one day. Be creative - the awards don't have to cost money, they just have to be fun!
If you have different departments within one company, institute a "Pizza Night Challenge", where the department that raises the most money by a certain date receives a pizza party, courtesy of the "losing" department.
The company with the largest team receives a commemorative plaque from Susan G. Komen for the Cure and bragging rights too!
